Dr. Barış Özgür was born in Ankara in 1966.
He completed his secondary and high school education in English at Bornova Anatolian High School in İzmir.

In 1990, he received his master’s degree from Ege University Faculty of Dentistry with a thesis on Oral Pathology (Epulis).

In 1991, he began working as a dentist at İzmir Eşrefpaşa Hospital.

Between 1993 and 1994, he served as a military dentist.

In 1998, he received advanced implantology training in the Netherlands.

He was a pioneer in providing dental treatments under general anesthesia for individuals with disabilities in İzmir and was honored with numerous awards by various non-governmental organizations.

As a mentor dentist for the Turkish Education Foundation (TEV), whose primary mission is to support successful students with limited financial means and ensure equal opportunities in education, he has contributed both theoretically and practically to the training of many dentistry students.

For eight years, he served as the oral and dental health consultant for the international JTI company based in İzmir.

Since 1996, he has been a member of the Turkish Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry.

He has focused his clinical work particularly on aesthetic dentistry, digital dentistry, and implantology. As one of the pioneers of dental tourism in Turkey, he has treated numerous international patients.

As of 2024, Dr. Özgür continues his 35-year professional career at Odia Clinic in Fethiye.

He holds a Health Tourism Authorization Certificate issued by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Turkey.
